Kulp Roofing wants to give someone a new roof

QUAKERTOWN — Kulp Roofing and Construction Inc. is looking for a family in need of a roof replacement.

The Bucks County-based roofing company is accepting nominations for its second annual “Kulp Gives Back” promotion.

The winner will receive a roof replacement and gutter installation — including a leaf protection system — at no cost to the family.

The deadline for submitting nominations is May 31. A winner will be chosen on June 17, and the company expects the project to be completed by Oct. 31.

The nominating period for this year’s promotion opened on April 17, and so far the company has received about 15 nominations, according to Ryan Hogan, Kulp Roofing and Construction Inc.’s sales and marketing manager.

He said to be eligible, the nominee must live within Kulp Roofing’s eight-county service area — which includes Berks, Bucks, Montgomery, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

Entrants can nominate someone they know, or they can nominate themselves.

Nominations can be made using Kulp’s online form at https://kulproofing.com/kulpgivesback/. The form asks for the name of the person being nominated, the person doing the nominating, the nominee’s address and telephone number, contact information for the nominator and a description of why the person being nominated should receive a new roof.

Hogan said the company is looking for a “compelling story as to why they or someone they know is deserving of a roof and gutter makeover.”

Kulp Roofing launched the roof replacement program for the first time in 2021, in response to the impacts of the pandemic and as a way to give back to the communities the company serves, the company said last year.

According to Hogan, the company was “extremely happy” with the results from the first year. The company installed a new roof for Annamae Pavlik of Allentown.

“It was great to give back to her,” Hogan said in an emailed response to questions.

Kulp Roofing & Construction Inc. is a family-owned and operated company that has been in business for more than 20 years.
