Informed Family Financial Services acquires Strategic Wealth Advisory

WEST NORRITON — Informed Family Financial Services, a financial planning and wealth management firm headquartered in Montgomery County, has acquired Strategic Wealth Advisory with offices in Exeter Township in Berks County and Upper Macungie Township in Lehigh County.

The combined practices have come together under the Informed Family Financial Services brand, and increases to four, the number of offices for the firm as it expands its presence in eastern Pennsylvania.

“We’re committed to giving the families we represent confidence and clarity as they transition through various life stages, and this expansion allows us to bring that mission to even more Pennsylvania families,” Informed Family co-founder, CEO and CFO Jeffrey Bush said in a statement.

The transition to the combined firm began on July 1, according to Bush. In an emailed response to questions, he added that clients will “have access to a broader team of financial experience, as well as additional physical locations. In addition, we have combined administrative support of over 50 years.”

Strategic Wealth Advisory President Earl D. Schultz joins Informed Family Financial Services as a senior financial consultant, along with Shannon LaRosse, who joins Informed Family Financial Services as an investment advisor representative.

“It’s rare to find financial planning practices as structurally and philosophically aligned as Strategic Wealth Advisory and Informed Family Financial Services, but that’s exactly what we have here,” Schultz said in a statement. “Combining our talent and resources represents a major value add to our clients.”

In a letter to clients posted on the Strategic Wealth Advisory website, Schultz said that over the last six months, he has “worked to ensure that this change will have as minimal impact on our clients as possible.”

He added that he has known Bush since 2006.

“I’ve participated in study groups with him over the past sixteen years and we share very similar philosophies about how clients should be treated,” the letter stated.

Clients of both firms are being notified about the acquisition by U.S. mail, as well as email, according to Bush.

“Nothing will change for the clients. All account structures are expected to remain the same. Both financial teams are part of the same Broker/Dealer and use the same philosophical approach to financial planning,” he said in the emailed response.

The advisors that make up the Informed Family Financial Services and Strategic Wealth Advisory teams are investment advisor representatives with USA Financial Securities, which aligns them with similar structures, marketing strategies and new client onboarding practices, the company said.

Bush, who is a graduate of Alvernia University, has family and professional ties to the Reading-area and Lehigh Valley, and “saw a great opportunity to reconnect with his roots and expand the business in a natural and comfortable environment,” according to a press release.

As part of the expansion, the acquisition represents an expansion of Steve Jablonski’s role as senior partner at Informed Family Financial Services.

“We have a bold vision and high standards for how financial and retirement planning services should be delivered,” Jablonski said in a statement. “Earl and his team do, too, which has made this transition seamless so far. I’m eager to provide leadership to our expanded team as we continue making a meaningful impact on the lifestyles and dreams of Pennsylvania families.”

Informed Financial Services has four offices located at 2570 Boulevard of the Generals Suite 223, West Norriton (Montgomery County); 152 East High St., Suite 420, Pottstown (Montgomery County); 180 Sunset Manor Drive, Exeter Township (Berks County); 1275 Glenlivet Drive, Ste. 100, Upper Macungie Township (Lehigh County).
