Honorees announced for Greater West Chester Chamber’s annual banquet

WEST CHESTER — Kevin Finn, founder and chairman of Iron Hill Brewery, The Chester County Hospital, The Community Warehouse Project of Chester County and former state Sen. Andrew Dinniman will be celebrated as some of the best in Greater West Chester at Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Annual Banquet, slated to take place at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The annual banquet honors the people, businesses and organizations that positively influenced the West Chester community during the previous year.

The 2022 banquet will honor Kevin Finn, as the 2021 Outstanding Citizen of the Year. Finn has a long history of selfless dedication in supporting the greater West Chester community as both a business owner and active volunteer.

The 2021 Business of the Year Award, sponsored by West Chester University, will be presented to The Chester County Hospital for its dedication to taking care of the health and well-being our community. The pandemic has posed a monumental challenge for America’s healthcare system, and that has certainly been the case at Chester County Hospital. From their physicians and nurses to administrative personnel to support staff, the entire Chester County Hospital family continues to care for those directly impacted by the pandemic, as well as meeting the ongoing healthcare needs of everyone in our community.

The Community Warehouse Project of Chester County will take home the 2021 Community Service Organization Award, sponsored by Fulton Bank. They are being honored for their focus on collecting and redistributing donated furniture and household items to individuals and families in need within the region.

Finally, the Chamber will honor former state Sen. Andrew Dinniman with a Lifetime Achievement Award. This award has only been bestowed twice in the Chamber’s history; once in 2006 to Ralph Watson and in 2009 to the now late mayor of West Chester, Dick Yoder. The former state senator is being honored with this distinguished award for more than 50 years of tireless work and dedication to West Chester and Chester County.

“We are excited to celebrate these very deserving honorees at the 2022 Annual Banquet,” said Katie Walker, president of Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. “Each of our awardees has proven their commitment and service to making the greater West Chester region a great place to live and work, especially through the continued challenges our community has faced over the past several years.”

Sponsors and attendees of the 2022 Annual Banquet will enjoy cocktails and dinner as they celebrate the honorees. Sponsorship opportunities are available, including Title Sponsor of the Annual Banquet.
