FROM THE CHAMBER: REACHing for and crushing professional goals [Column]

We are all aware that there are distinct phases to our lives. During those phases our “REACH” is different.

In 2019, the previous TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce program rebranded its programming focused on women in the membership and relaunched a new and improved REACH — Empowering and Connecting Women program.

Unlike our previous program and so many others, REACH is not an acronym for anything but instead a philosophy. We want our REACH participants to be able to benefit from this program at whatever stage of their personal and professional lives they are experiencing.

If you need assistance, we want you to be comfortable “REACHing” out to your fellow Members of the REACH community to ask for assistance. If you are experienced, a veteran if you will, in the professional world and your industry, we want you to “REACH” out and help those who are seeking it. And we want everyone to see this program as an opportunity and a tool/resource to help them REACH their goals.

As part of our rebranding, in June of 2020 we were going to hold our first annual REACH Conference but as we know, events were not happening at that time and we were finally able to host this invigorating and motivational event in November of 2021. What an afternoon!

The success of the 2021 event has us so excited for the second annual REACH Conference in 2022 with the theme of “Crushing It” as we know so many are doing, and we want to celebrate everyone working to “Crush It” every day.

The second annual REACH Conference will take place on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at La Massaria at Bella Vista Golf Course in Gilbertsville.

The Conference, which is open to all professionals, will feature four successful speakers who will share their stories of how they are “Crushing It” in their careers and will inspire all in attendance to set their goals high and strive to reach them.

The REACH Conference’s keynote speaker, Neen James, a professional speaker, consultant and author, is an expert in paying attention and will address “Attention Pays: Learn How to Drive Profitability, Productivity and Accountability.”  We are excited to bring Neen to you with the help of Cody Systems, our Book Sponsor for the Conference; their support enables us to provide a copy of Neen’s book to everyone in attendance.

Joining the speaker line-up will be Denise Nakano, midday anchor for KYW Newsradio; Ginger Kunkel, president of Tompkins; and Kim Fraites-Dow, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Four women making a difference in their industry and in the community — you do not want to miss these presentations!

The $150 per Member registration fee includes these four dynamic speakers, access to other professionals to connect and build relationships, lunch, a networking dessert reception, an opportunity to win fantastic prizes.

Also included in the ticket price is a swag bag, sponsored by Keller Williams, filled with gifts from our Chamber Members and that copy of Neen James’ book, “Attention Pays” that we previously mentioned.

A huge thank you to our additional sponsors: The Empowerment Sponsors — Constellation, Dana Incorporated, Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health, Precision Polymer Products Inc., Schultz Technology, Styer Real Estate, The Victory Bank, and Tompkins; Connecting Sponsors — CEDARVILLE Engineering Group LLC., Herbein + Company, Inc., Maillie LLP, and Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.
