LPG prices have been rising since July 1

The price of liquefied natural gas (LPG) has been increased at the consumer level. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has adjusted the prices with the domestic and international markets.
Energy regulator BERC announced the new prices at an online press conference on Wednesday. On April 12, the company set the price of LPG for the first time in the country.

At the consumer level, BERC has increased the price of 12 kg LPG cylinder by Tk 49 to Tk 891 including VAT. Which was 742 rupees in June.
Earlier on May 31 this year, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) adjusted the price of LPG for the second time after reducing the price in the world market. At that time, the maximum retail price in the private sector was reduced from Tk 908 including 12 kg cylinder LPG VAT to Tk 742.

BERC announced the price of LPG for the third time at the consumer level in an online press conference on Wednesday (June 30).
Commission Chairman Abdul Jalil, Commission members Mohammad Abu Farooq, Maqbool-e Elahi, Bazlur Rahman, Kamruzzaman, Secretary Rubina Ferdousi and other senior officials were present. However, at the government level, the price of a 12 kg cylinder will remain the same at Tk 591.

The commission has re-fixed the price of LPG supplied in this reticulated system at the consumer level at Tk 7.28 per kg excluding VAT and Tk 81.94 per kg including VAT. The chairman said that the Saudi CP of propane and butane announced by Saudi Aramco for the month of June is 5 530 per metric ton and the ratio of propane and butane is 525 per metric ton. Done.

On April 12, the commission announced the price of LPG for the first time. LPG is usually priced in the country according to the Saudi CP (Contract Price). When the price of Saudi CP changes at the end of each month, the commission issues a new order to change the price of LPG in the country.
