A few individuals from BGMEA, a relationship of piece of clothing industry proprietors, are not covering normal gas bills to article of clothing plants. Starting last May, the exceptional gas bills of 129 part manufacturing plants of the association remained at Tk 6.35 crore.
It is discovered that Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company has as of late sent back payments of Tk 142.61 crore to 24 BGMEA. Also, gas bills of 56 organizations are financially past due for at least four years.

BGMEA further said that the proprietors of the readymade articles of clothing industry are sufficiently true to cover their normal gas bills. When asked, BGMEA VP Shahidullah Azim disclosed to Prothom Alo, “Titus separated inside 1-2 months of the gas charge unfulfilled obligations.” However, our part associations need to store three months of safety cash. We have requested that Titus sit tight three months for the back payments.
