Public Bank of Egypt cautions clients against potential tricks

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) on Monday dispatched a SMS cautioning to its clients to educate them regarding potential tricks.

“In continuation of mindfulness, there are various strategies for tricks, so don’t share your own or banking information, or mystery numbers with anybody through any method for correspondence, and don’t open an untrusted URL,” the message peruses.

Banque Misr sent a comparative SMS to its clients on Saturday.

It read: “Continuing from Banque Misr’s insight on the interests of its client base, the certified receipts that it adheres to every single prudent principle and strategies, which would keep any of its clients from being presented to any extortion.”

“Over the past period, the bank has been sending SMSs to clients notice them of false messages and calls, which they might get from individuals professing to be subsidiary with Banque Misr or any of the public authority offices, with a solicitation to give them data about their kin or financial balances.”

These messages focused on the need to illuminate the bank quickly in case of this event.

The bank likewise posted recordings of informative movies on its online media stages cautioning clients of these dangers.
